Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for B2B sales, present and sell complex products and services to new small and medium sized businesses. Candidate is an individually-contributing sales position that requires a high-activity sales model and a “hunter” mentality. He/She will prospect, develop, and maintain accounts in a B2B consultative selling environment, and have a desire to move into or continue to grow in the information technology field. Candidate will individually manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing (new accounts), and identifying areas for providing additional value (existing accounts). Candidate will have the opportunity to learn the product and the technology behind the product. He/She will is to meet with prospects onsite and provide demonstrations. The account executive will use their technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition the position will provide input and participate in the marketing and technical development of products and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Make initial sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services that satisfy their demands
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning
  • Participate in development of new products, modification of existing products, and termination of ineffective products.
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers as defined in the policy employee communications within
  • and using established guidelines
  • Manage assigned sales budget in a timely and effective manner
  • Manage technical aspects of committees and working groups in an effective and professional manner
  • Prepare quotes, contracts and RFP/RFI responses for potential customers
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations
  • Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by
  • Developing technical presentations for potential customers
  • Maintains up to date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government
  • regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain in depth product knowledge of the service Netgain Networks offers
  • Work with management to develop proposals, quotes and respond to RFP/RFI documents
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of Netgain Networks technology or equivalent
  • Ability to configure high end hardware solutions
  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Availability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Experience selling any of the following: IT services and/or products, managed IT services, IT Consulting, Telephony, VOIP, Telecommunications
  • Demonstrate level of success in the development of client relationships
  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
  • High energy drive with good negotiation skills
  • Proficient with general office applications
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Skill in preparing written communications and materials
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
